Is upgrading to AM5 worth the extra $100?

I'm building my first PC and I'm torn about whether I should spend an additional $100 to opt for an AM5 setup instead of sticking with AM4. I plan to use it mainly for web browsing, some gaming, and graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. My CPU choices are either the Ryzen 5600 or the 7500F, but everything else should be similar in both builds.

If you're looking to keep costs down and aren't into overclocking or flashy RGB, the price difference might not be as extreme as you think. The Ryzen 7500F can be quite affordable, especially if you shop around, and you can find AM5 motherboards from certain brands at a lower price too. If you can keep the price gap under $50, I'd say go for the AM5 for better future-proofing options.

That makes sense! Better future-proofing sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tip!
