Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out if my PC can handle a 1440p monitor for gaming. Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- GPU: AMD RX 7600
- SSD: Kingston SNV3S1000G 1TB
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 C18 (2x8GB)
- Motherboard: Asrock B550M Pro4
I'm mainly playing games like League of Legends, Valorant, and I just started Elden Ring. Is it worth getting a 1440p monitor? Thanks!

Honestly, you could get a 1440p monitor if you want it, but you might not enjoy the experience too much unless you plan on getting a better GPU later. Your current one has 8GB VRAM, which can be a bit tight on newer games at that resolution.
It really depends on what games you're into! If you're mostly playing League or Valorant, you might find 1440p okay. But for AAA titles, you could be hitting a wall with those specs unless you're fine with some settings adjustments.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm thinking of playing more AAA games but I really just got this PC. Might stick with 1080p for now.
That makes sense! Overclocking could help a bit, right?
