Hey everyone! I need some help figuring out an overheating issue with my i7 13700K processor that I've been using for about two years. Whenever I jump into games like Apex Legends, League of Legends, or Star Citizen, my CPU temperature shoots up to around 70-80°C, and my AIO fans get super loud. Plus, the top of my PC case feels hot, and the room ends up getting warm too. I'm using a be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 360 mm cooler. However, when I'm just browsing with Firefox, the CPU temp drops to about 50-60°C. I'm trying to figure out what might be causing this overheating problem. If anyone has any thoughts or questions, please let me know!

It sounds like it could be a couple of things. The most probable cause is that your thermal paste has dried up. You might want to remove the CPU block, clean off the old thermal paste, and apply a fresh layer. The other possibility, which is less likely, is that your AIO cooler might be failing. When it's working properly, you should feel some vibrations in the CPU block, and one tube should feel warm while the other one feels cooler. If neither is cold, that could be a sign there's an issue.

I touched the two tubes, and there's definitely something flowing through them, but they're more on the warm side than cold. I also just replaced the thermal paste a few weeks back.
