Hey everyone! I've got a chance to snag an RTX 2080 Super for just £120 (around $160) with shipping included. Right now, I'm using a GTX 1080 paired with an i7-6700k CPU. I'm curious to know if upgrading to the 2080 Super is actually worth it for me. Since I'll be needing a new motherboard, cooler, and RAM anyway when I decide to upgrade my CPU down the line, I'm holding off on that for now. I play on a 1440p monitor at medium to high settings. If I sell my GTX 1080 for about £80, that means it's really only a £40 upgrade to the 2080 Super. What do you guys think?

I made a similar jump from a 1070 Ti to a 2080, and it was game-changing! The ray tracing capability has come in handy a lot. If you're planning on sticking with your current setup for a while longer, the upgrade will feel like getting a whole new PC. Definitely worth it!
Honestly, for that price, it's totally worth it! The performance boost you'll get is significant. Just keep in mind that you may need to upgrade your motherboard and CPU eventually, especially for newer games. But if you’re mainly gaming with friends, it seems like a no-brainer at that cost.
Yeah, you're getting a solid deal. The 2080 Super is about 34% faster than the GTX 1080. If you're okay with that £40 price jump for the performance increase, I say go for it! But, you might also want to think about upgrading that old CPU sooner rather than later.
Man, £40 for that upgrade is a steal! You'll definitely see a noticeable difference in performance. Just remember that while the 2080 Super will give you a great boost now, if you can find a good deal on a 2080 Ti later, it's an even better option since it has more VRAM and enhanced performance.
