Do I Need to Upgrade My B450 BIOS for Ryzen 5600X/5700X?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading to the Ryzen 5600X or 5700X and I'm currently on BIOS version F60 for my AORUS B450 PRO WIFI motherboard. Is it necessary for me to upgrade to the latest BIOS version before I make the switch? I've heard some horror stories about BIOS upgrades potentially bricking motherboards, so I'm a bit anxious about doing it. If F60 works for the new CPUs, I'd prefer to stick with it for now. Any insights?

Before you upgrade, definitely check the manufacturer's website to see which BIOS version added support for the Ryzen 5600X and 5700X. If your current BIOS (F60) is the required version or newer, then you're good to go! But if it's outdated, you’ll need to update it. Just know that there's typically a risk with BIOS updates, so be cautious!

The F60 version mentions support for Ryzen 5000 series, which is great, but it looks like the latest one is F66G. If you're looking for that extra stability and features, updating might be worthwhile!
