I own an iPhone 13 and recently bought an external SSD. It connects just fine to my iPad Pro, but when I try to connect it to my iPhone, the device doesn't recognize it at all. Is there a way to make it work without risking damage to my phone?

iPhones usually only recognize thumb drives and SD cards with the right adapters, so it’s possible your SSD isn’t compatible due to how it works with the iPhone’s system. It really comes down to the way the SSD and its USB converter present themselves to the iPhone.
So there's really no way to make it work? Not that it's a huge hassle since I can use my laptop, but I'm still curious!
