I'm looking to upgrade from AM4 to AM5 and came across two options on Facebook. The first is a Ryzen 5 9600x for $120, and the second is a Ryzen 7 7700x bundled with 32GB of G.Skill Flare X5 RAM for $200. I'm not in love with the RAM since it's non-RGB, but I do appreciate the extra cores that come with the 7700x. I often game with two monitors, primarily playing AAA titles and sometimes watch videos while gaming. For those who own the 9600x, do you find it performs well enough for gaming and video watching? Which CPU would be the better fit for my needs?

I'd go for the 7700x with the extra RAM. Having those extra cores really helps, especially with newer games and multitasking. If you play FPS games like the upcoming BF6, the additional cores will definitely come in handy.
But I mostly play single-player games like Monster Hunter. Do you really think the extra two cores matter for AAA gaming?
