I recently bought a 1TB Lexar SATA SSD, and while it was working fine initially, I started getting the error code 0x800701B1 whenever I attempt to transfer large files. Small file transfers or saving on the drive works perfectly, but anything substantial triggers the error. I returned the first SSD thinking it was defective and got a replacement, but I'm still facing the same issue. I made sure to format it using NTFS instead of FAT32, as I know the latter has a 4GB file size limit. Any advice on how to resolve this?

From my experience, the problem could be a sign of a failing drive. To check the health of your SSD, use a tool like CrystalDiskInfo. It’ll give you insights into its status and if there are any errors that might be causing the transfer issues.
It sounds like you might be encountering a common issue with file transfers. Have you tried formatting the drive to exFAT instead? It supports larger files just like NTFS but can sometimes work better with external drives. Give that a shot and see if it helps!
Make sure to check how you're connecting the SSD. Are you using a SATA cable directly to the motherboard or a USB to SATA converter? Sometimes, the connection type can lead to issues like this. If you can, connect it directly to the motherboard for better performance.
