I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 3070, but efficiency is my main concern. I've been looking at the AMD 9070 and 7900 XT, but I'm worried about their TDP ratings. I want to keep my room cool and save on electricity while gaming. I have an 850W PSU and would like to maintain about a 60% load for better efficiency. Initially, I thought I had to go with Nvidia because the TDPs for Nvidia cards seemed much better. However, after watching a Gamers Nexus video, it seems the 9070 may actually be more efficient? How does this affect performance in older games when not under full load? I game at 1440p and my budget is around €600 to €700 at most.

Honestly, the 9070's TDP shouldn't worry you too much if you're coming from a 3070, as they have similar ratings. It’s a great efficient card that can be undervolted.
I’ve heard the 5070 Ti is barely worse than the 9070 in some tests—why do people seem to dislike it? Gamers Nexus really doesn’t have anything nice to say about it!
