I found this weird sand-like substance inside the casing of my old TV. I first noticed it when a bee was trying to get inside. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and how I can clean it out without causing any damage?

Yeah, I agree, that's not something that should be inside your TV. If it's really sticky or expands, you might want to use a gentle approach so it doesn't end up inside the electronics. Maybe try a vacuum with a brush attachment to carefully extract it?
It looks like it could be expanding foam, which shouldn't be there. You definitely want to clean it out, but be careful! It might go deeper into the TV since it’s open from both sides. Just take your time when cleaning it out.
