I'm maxing out my Ryzen 5 5600X3D while using my PC for CAD and fluid simulation work, even though gaming isn't a problem. I can't switch to a new platform, so I'm looking for a suitable AM4 CPU that could help with my workloads. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 5600X3D, RTX 2070, and 128GiB DDR4 3200 CL15.

You might want to consider the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D if you can find them at a decent price. They're great for multitasking, but they're getting harder to come by since they're out of production.

Honestly, if you're already at a 5600X3D, there's not much left to upgrade within the AM4 platform. You could also look into getting a Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X; they have higher core counts and can handle workloads better, but you might take a hit in gaming performance with the 5950X.

That's true, the 5900X is a solid upgrade without going X3D, and it has good performance in both gaming and productivity.
