I've been using my Pixel phone (think it's a 5) for about three years, and today it froze up while I was multitasking between a Tubi show and Instagram. Now, after an hour, it's completely black and unresponsive, even when I try charging it. I've attempted to hold down the volume and power buttons, but nothing is working. Is my phone bricked, and is there any chance to recover data for a new phone later?

Try unplugging it and then press and hold both the power and volume up buttons together for at least a minute. If nothing happens after that, sadly, your phone might be done for. Good luck!
Sorry to hear about your phone! If the button combo doesn't work, it sounds like you might be out of luck this time. But don't lose hope just yet—if it does respond, you could still recover your data!
I had a similar issue with my phone freezing randomly. Once I did a hard reboot (holding the buttons), it started back up, but if you've tried that and it didn't work, it's a tough situation. I hope you can figure it out!
