Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my 5-year-old PC build since I'm hoping to play newer games like Battlefront 6, Call of Duty: Block Ops 7, and GTA 6. I've got a budget of about $1,000 for the upgrades. I mainly play casually but would love to enjoy better graphics on my 165Hz monitor. Here's my current build: Intel Core i5-9400F, EVGA GTX 2070 Super, 16GB of RAM, and a 500GB SSD. What upgrades would you recommend? Thanks!

You might want to consider an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X along with a new motherboard. Your current CPU is pretty limiting for modern games, and since your motherboard can't accommodate newer chips, it’s best to get a new one along with RAM since most newer CPUs use DDR5. Also, think about upgrading to a 1TB NVMe SSD since games are getting big and your current 500GB might not cut it anymore!

Thanks for the suggestions! If I upgrade my CPU and motherboard, can I still use my old CPU cooler and power supply, or do I need to replace those too?
