Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC primarily for 4K gaming on ultra settings, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm also interested in running some local AI projects, specifically smaller language models and agents (in the range of 7B to 13B). In my previous setups, I used Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and Docker, which required around 64 GB of RAM.
I have a budget of approximately €4,000 and plan to build it myself, ensuring it's upgrade-friendly. I consulted ChatGPT for some build ideas, and it suggested two options:
**Option 1**
- RTX 4090 (24GB VRAM)
- Ryzen 9 7950X3D
- 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM
- X670E motherboard
- 2TB NVMe SSD
- 1000W power supply (ATX 3.0)
- 360mm AIO cooler
- Case options: Fractal, Lian Li, or be quiet!
**Option 2**
- RTX 4080 Super (16GB VRAM)
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM
- B650E or X670E motherboard
- 2TB NVMe SSD
- 850-1000W power supply (ATX 3.0)
- 360mm AIO cooler or Noctua NH-D15
- Case options: Fractal, Lian Li, or be quiet!
Given my use case, would you stick with one of these builds, or do you have alternative suggestions? Thanks a lot!

I think you might want to reconsider the graphics card options. The Nvidia 40 series is pretty outdated now, and prices have gone up significantly. Can you let us know which country you're in? That might help with suggesting the best current options!
I agree with the previous comment. AI suggestions can often be outdated since they rely on previous data. For your budget, I think you can get a more current-gen GPU that would serve your gaming and AI needs just as well.
