I'm trying to decide which DDR5 RAM kit to stick with for my setup. I've got two options: the G.Skill Flare X at 6000 MHz with a CAS latency of 28 (28-36-36-96 at 1.4V), and the Mushkin Redline at 6800 MHz with a CAS latency of 32 (32-39-39-79 at 1.4V). I'm running an AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D and have both ASRock's Nova x870e and Asus' x870e-e motherboards available. I plan on tweaking the timings a bit, so any advice would be appreciated!

I'd recommend sticking with the 6000 MHz kit. Ryzen really benefits from lower latency, and you won’t get much advantage from going over 6000 MT/s because of how it interacts with the Ryzen architecture. Plus, the 6000 is generally more stable than the 6800 kit, which can be a big factor if you're going to be tweaking settings.
I was thinking the same! I figured the 6800 kit could give me some room for experimentation, but if I can get the 6000 kit to CL28, it might be better overall. Appreciate the insights!
