So, I accidentally got a drop of water in my phone's charging port when my friend dropped it. Now, I can't charge it at all, and I'm freaking out! What should I do to fix this?

You should definitely let it dry out completely. Use a towel or some cotton to gently dry the port. But don't plug in the charger yet! If you can wait, that's better. If it still won't charge once it's dry, then think about visiting a repair shop.

Best immediate action is to take it to a technician. They can do a proper cleaning to avoid any lasting damage. If you have silica gel packets around, those can help absorb moisture too. Whatever you do, just don’t try to turn it on or charge it until it's definitely dry!

First things first, turn off your phone and don't try to charge it until it dries out. If water is in the charging port, it could cause a short circuit. Just give it some time—maybe a couple of days—before trying anything. If it doesn't work after that, you might have to look for a new one.
