How well will my gaming PC setup perform against a mini PC?

I'm considering building a gaming PC with the following specs: CPU - Ryzen 9 9900X, GPU - Arc B580, Motherboard - X870E Aorus PRO ICE, RAM - Klevv CRAS DDR5 6000 C30 (24G*2), SSD - Self-supplied Hynix P41, Chassis - Deepcool CK500, PSU - PCCOOLER YN1000, and a Thermalright FW240 cooler. I'm curious about how this budget rig will compare to a mini PC featuring a Ryzen AI MAX+ 395. Additionally, I'm interested in how well it will handle heavy AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth Wukong, as well as Zenless Zone Zero specifically.

It seems like you're mixing up components for different purposes. The Ryzen 9 9900X and X870 motherboard plus the 1000W PSU might be overkill for your setup if you're just gaming. You could save some cash there and invest in a more powerful GPU instead, which would improve your gaming performance significantly. The Arc B580 is decent for budget builds, but it's not what you want for heavy AAA gaming.

True, but better GPUs like the 9070/XT or RTX 5070/TI can be pretty pricey – we're talking over $600 more, and some even recommend a 900W PSU for them. It's a tough spot!

Comparing your setup to the AI MAX+ 395 is like apples to oranges. The AI MAX+ is designed more for production tasks with unified memory rather than gaming. Your PC should outperform it in gaming scenarios, but it might lose out in production work depending on the tasks you're doing.

That's what I thought! My setup does focus more on gaming, but I'm curious about how drivers in Windows/Linux might affect the performance when comparing the two.

If this build is mostly for gaming, you're likely spending too much on the CPU and motherboard. You could get a more powerful GPU by cutting down on some other parts. The B580 might hold you back if you're targeting 1080P at high refresh rates.

Exactly! The combo of a 9900X with the B580 works for your specific use case with Zenless Zone Zero, but if you aim for higher FPS or AAA titles, consider a 9700X instead, it can still keep up pretty well.
