Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my Intel i3-9100 to an i5-9400F. Do I need to update the BIOS for this, and if so, how do I do it? I'm not very experienced with motherboards, so any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!

You actually don't need to do a BIOS update for that CPU swap. It's usually just a straightforward replacement. Just remember to re-enable XMP if you want your RAM to run at its rated speed!
If you’re upgrading from an i3 to an i5, you should be good without a BIOS update. That said, some setups might require updates depending on the motherboard model. It's always a good idea to check the motherboard's support page, just to be safe. Also, if you have any issues booting up, a BIOS update might help.
