Hey everyone! I'm running into a bit of a snag. I recently got a Bluetooth adapter dongle for my work PC, but it turns out I need to download some software for it to work, and that's a no-go since it's a work computer. I'm hesitant about buying another dongle because most product listings don't clarify if they need software. So, I'm wondering if there are 3.5mm Bluetooth adapters that can connect directly to earbuds, or do I need a Bluetooth transmitter instead? Apologies if this has been covered before; I couldn't find much info quickly. Appreciate any help!

Check this out – what you found is a receiver, which is mainly for connecting your phone to wired speakers over Bluetooth. If you need something to send audio from your PC to your earbuds, then you definitely want a Bluetooth transmitter instead. I linked one above that should do the trick!
Got it! Thanks for clarifying that. I'll keep searching for a transmitter, then.
