My PC has suddenly started making a lot of noise, and it seems like the fan in my PSU (FSP 800W HYDRO PRO 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply) is running at maximum speed. I'm not running anything demanding, so I'm looking for advice on how to figure out what's causing this and how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried giving the PSU a thorough dusting? Sometimes, dust build-up can cause fans to work extra hard. How old is your PSU? If cleaning it out doesn’t do the trick, it might be worth considering a replacement.
A PSU fan might ramp up when the internal temperature hits a certain level, regardless of your PC's load. This is actually a design feature to prevent overheating. My concern would be figuring out why your PSU is heating up. Have you checked other components? It’s good that you’re monitoring temperatures; maybe it's worth checking airflow in your case, too.
