Locked Out of Company Website: Need Help Accessing It

I'm managing a small business and need your advice. One of our financing partners has requested that we update some wording on our website to comply with their new standards. Unfortunately, the credentials we have don't grant us access anymore. To make things worse, the developers who built our site are no longer reachable, leaving us in a tough spot. Is there any way we can regain access, or should we just consider starting over from scratch?

Have you thought about trying to track down one of the old developers? Check your old emails for any contact info they might have left behind. You could even offer a small reward for the original login details if you can reach them!

That's a good point! If you can't reach them, I'd also suggest contacting your hosting provider and domain registrar for a password recovery option. I faced a similar issue before and while one of my clients could recover everything with their email, another ended up having to start fresh since they lost access altogether. Also, checking where payments are being made could help—if you were paying for hosting separately, it makes it easier to prove ownership!
