I recently got my hands on a couple of Intel SSD Pro 1500 Series 240GB drives that I plan to use for extra storage, not as boot drives. I'm considering configuring them in AMD RAID 0 so they can work together as a single unit. However, I've come across a lot of warnings suggesting this might not be the best approach. Can anyone share their thoughts or advice on how to proceed?

RAID 0 can be a bit outdated for consumer use. You don’t want to risk losing everything if one drive dies. With SSD prices being low, you might be better off just using those drives separately. But if it's mainly for games and temporary storage, it could still be an option. Just keep backups of important stuff!
If you go with RAID 0, remember that you’ll lose all your data if even one drive fails. Since you have two drives of the same size, it could technically work for combining your storage, but it's generally best for temporary data. Have you looked into using Windows' 'dynamic disks' instead?
I recommend using Windows Storage Spaces instead of RAID 0. It’s easier to manage and less risky for your data. Plus, it gives you some flexibility without the downsides of traditional RAID.
I get that it has risks, but since I got these drives for free, I'm just looking for a way to utilize them without much investment. It's mostly for gaming, so I won't lose anything crucial.
