Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC because my old setup had a second-gen i7, and I'm looking to improve my storage situation. Right now, I have a 256GB mSATA SSD, along with a couple of hard drives (2TB and 3TB), but that small SSD just isn't cutting it. I want to know if it's worth it to upgrade to a Kingston 1TB NVMe SSD. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If your motherboard doesn't have an M.2 slot, it might not be a good idea. You could use an adapter, but your PC might not boot from the NVMe drive, which could complicate things.
Upgrading to 1TB is great if you do a lot of gaming or work with big files. For just browsing or watching movies, it might be overkill. But since you mentioned playing games like CS2 and emulating stuff, it sounds like you'll definitely appreciate the extra space!
If you've upgraded to a 9th gen i7 with an ASRock Z390 Pro4, then you should definitely go for the NVMe SSD! The speed boost will be amazing for your system.
Honestly, 256GB is just too small for gaming. Windows and documents can take up a good chunk of that space, leaving you little for games. Going for 1TB is a solid choice. I have 8TB myself, and I still feel like it’s not enough!
Yes, absolutely! Upgrading to a 1TB NVMe will provide a huge improvement in speed, and I think you'll love it.

Totally agree! 1TB feels like the minimum these days, especially for gamers.
