I currently have a Ryzen 5 5600x paired with an RTX 3060ti. Over the next few months, I'm planning a complete upgrade to an RTX 5070 and a Ryzen 7800x3d along with a new motherboard and RAM. My budget is a bit tight, so I'm wondering which upgrade would have the biggest impact on performance if I only tackle one at a time. Should I go for the GPU upgrade first, or would that lead to a bottleneck with my current CPU? I mostly play Deadlock at 1440p, aiming for maximum FPS on low settings. Appreciate any advice!

Upgrading to the RTX 5070 first seems like a solid move. The Ryzen 5600x should handle it pretty well at 1440p. After you swap in the new GPU, see how it performs before deciding if you still want to upgrade the CPU and motherboard later! Oh, and check out this video for some tips: [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU7jqxwNRG4).
If you're looking for max FPS right away, the 5070 is the way to go. But if you want a more well-rounded upgrade with better overall performance in the long run, then getting the CPU, motherboard, and RAM first could be beneficial. Just make sure your PSU can handle the new hardware!
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna need a new PSU when I upgrade both; my EVGA G2 650 works fine for now but won't cut it later.
Is the 5600x really limiting my performance now? I haven’t noticed many issues except for some low FPS in certain games.

Thanks for the input!
