I'm looking to build my first gaming PC and need some guidance to ensure I get the right components without overspending. Here's what I'm considering:
- **Motherboard:** MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi (supports AMD Ryzen 7000, DDR5, etc.)
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120
- **Storage:** WD Black 2TB NVMe SSD
- **Processor:** AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- **RAM:** CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB DDR5 5600MHz
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM850e fully modular
- **Thermal Paste:** Noctua NT-H2
For the GPU, I'm deciding between the 9060XT and the 9070XT. I also need advice on whether I should go for a 1080p or a 1440p monitor. My budget is around $1,500, and I usually play games like Marvel Rivals, Deadlock, and Tekken. Any suggestions on component compatibility and how I can save some money would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend comparing the Ryzen 5 7800X3D with the 9600X to see which is cheaper. For RAM, get 6000MT/s DDR5. You can always add another 16GB later for dual-channel if you enable Expo in the BIOS. If you're gaming at 1080p, go with the 9060XT; if you plan to upgrade your monitor soon, the 9070XT is a better choice. I usually enable Precision Boost Overdrive for a performance boost on AMD CPUs! As for the power supply, Corsair is solid, but if they're pricey for you, consider brands like Superflower or Seasonic that are 80+ Gold too.
First off, what's your budget? I see a few things in your build that suggest you might want to make some tweaks. If you share your budget, I can give you a more tailored list of components. Also, let me know if you're okay with going over budget for better performance!
I can stretch it to about $1.5k. Please send over your list and let me know what to change!

Thanks for the tips! Quick question, does the brand of the PSU affect performance? And what’s the real difference between the 7800X3D and the 9600X?
