I'm upgrading my older PC that's starting to show its age. Currently, I have an Intel i7-5820k, GTX 1060 8GB, and 16GB of RAM. For my new build, I'm planning to use a Ryzen 5 9600X, 32GB of RAM, and I'm torn between a few GPUs: the 4070 Super, 5060 Ti, and 5070 Ti. The prices in AUD are as follows: 4070 Super for $867, 5060 Ti for $699, and 5070 Ti for $1389. I primarily use my PC for work, like Microsoft 365 and python development, along with gaming. I play games such as RDR2, Star Citizen, CS:GO, and Valorant. While I'm leaning toward the 5060 Ti since it has more RAM and is the cheapest, I've read reviews saying the 4070 Super is faster. I'm also considering the 5070 Ti for future-proofing. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

The 5070 Ti is around $150 more than the 4070 Super and offers about 15% better raster performance with 16GB VRAM. Plus, it has access to DLSS 4.0 and frame generation, which the 4070 Super lacks. Given the prices, the 4070 Super might not be your best bet.
The 4070 Super is about 25% faster than the 5060 Ti, which justifies the price difference. The 5070 Ti isn't much faster—about 15% quicker than the 4070S—so spending significantly more on it might not be worth it. Based on your needs, I'd recommend going for the 4070 Super.
Good summary! I have a 4070 Super and it's fantastic for gaming at 1440p. Considering your requirements, either the 4070 Super or the 5060 Ti would suit you well. Just think about your budget!
Thanks! So, when they say a GPU is faster, does that mean I'll get more frames or just better performance in general?
Look at the differences in bus speed and VRAM: the 5070 Ti has a 256-bit bus, the 4070 Super has 192-bit, and the 5060 Ti has 128-bit. This means the data transfer is faster on the higher-end models. But you should choose based on your budget and needs. For esports, a 60-class GPU will work fine, but in terms of performance, it goes 5070 Ti > 4070 Super > 5060 Ti 16GB unless you specifically need that extra VRAM.
I’m not too desperate for VRAM. My 1060 is a bit slow, but I’ve managed with some AI stuff at home.
Thanks for the insight! I just checked, and the 5070 Ti 12GB is only $899—$32 more than the 4070 Super. I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
