Why isn’t my new GPU showing up in Windows or BIOS despite displaying output?

I just installed a new 5060 GPU, and even though it's outputting video through HDMI, it isn't listed in Windows or BIOS. The cable is definitely connected to the GPU, not the motherboard. What could be causing this issue?

Also, don't forget to check for any BIOS updates. Sometimes a motherboard needs a newer BIOS version to play nice with newer GPUs.

I don’t have the manual for my motherboard since I got this PC secondhand. Any advice on how to update the BIOS?

That's odd! If you're getting a display, it sounds like it's receiving power, but it might not be fully recognized by your system. Have you checked if the NVIDIA drivers are installed? Sometimes that can make a difference.

I'm trying to install the drivers now. Do you think my old 1050ti drivers could be interfering?
