I'm planning to build a new PC and I'm set on getting an AMD 9800x3D processor, but I'm stuck trying to choose a GPU. Should I go for a 9070 XT, a 5070 Ti, or splurge on a 5080? I'm wondering if the extra cost of the 5080 is justified compared to its performance. Also, how do the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT stack up against each other? Are they mostly the same, or does one perform better in certain games?

The 5080 is slightly better—like around 10%—compared to both the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT. However, when debating between the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT, it really comes down to specific games, since some might run better on one than the other. If you're after raw performance per dollar, the 9070 XT is your best bet, especially since I’m not a fan of NVIDIA's recent moves with the 12VHPWR standard and missing features.
