Hey everyone! I'm building a budget PC and I'm confused about whether I should be concerned about using PCIe 4.0 with my RX 9060 XT graphics card that has 16GB of memory. My motherboard is an MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI, I'm using a 7800X3D CPU, and I have 32GB of RAM. Will choosing PCIe 4.0 affect my performance significantly, or am I safe sticking with it?

Honestly, the performance difference from moving between PCIe 3.0 and 5.0 is like 0.5% for high-end cards. So for your 9060 XT, you'll be completely fine with PCIe 4.0. If you're planning to upgrade in the future, then maybe consider it, but otherwise, don’t sweat it!
Yep, the difference really only matters for the latest GPUs. You're set to have a great build with the 7800X3D and 9060 XT, so focus on other components!
If you're buying a new motherboard with your 9060 XT, it's probably worth spending a little more to get PCIe 5.0. But if you already have a motherboard with PCIe 4.0, there's no need to stress about it.
When it comes to performance, the difference between PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 is really minor, like around 1% in most cases. So unless you're aiming for the highest-end performance, you shouldn't worry too much about it with the 9060 XT.

True! For most cards below the 5090, it's not even a real concern unless you're thinking long-term upgrades. Also, I wouldn’t spend too much extra on a PCIe 5.0 option unless it’s just a small price increase.
