Issues After Installing KB5063878 on Cloud PCs

I've noticed a troubling pattern with the installation of KB5063878 on Windows 365/Cloud PCs. After applying the cumulative update, we've encountered numerous instances where the PCs fail to reboot. The usual remedies like reprovisioning, restarting, or restoring are all greyed out, and even attempts to use the Graph API aren't yielding results. The only workaround seems to be unassigning the license, deleting the Cloud PC, and then creating a new one altogether. We're limited in our debugging options and are currently opening tickets with Microsoft regarding this problem. Interestingly, our setup is pretty standard with W365, Sophos, and M365 running smoothly. Is anyone else facing similar issues?

In our experience, we had some crashes in the initial canary group after the update, so we're currently pausing any further installations until we get a clearer picture of the problem.

We've been using maintenance groups for our clients and, while the first ones had no issues, we've had quite a few problems since then. Running updates, even manually, has taken an unusually long time and we're seeing issues with .NET updates too.

We rolled out this update to about 1500 Cloud PCs, and thankfully, we're not experiencing any issues. It seems to be a mixed bag depending on the tenant.

We're seeing a failure rate of roughly 1 in 5 PCs post-reboot for a few affected tenants, which is definitely concerning given the lack of recovery options. It's unusual, to say the least!
