I've got a chance to snag a GTX 1080 Ti from a friend for just $110, and he's just applied fresh thermal paste. I'm wondering if this is a good deal or if there are better options out there for that price. It's an EVGA black edition card. Any thoughts?

Honestly, at that price, the 1080 Ti is a solid deal, especially since it has 11GB of VRAM. But keep in mind that NVIDIA is dropping support for it soon, so it might be a hit or miss for newer games. If you're mainly gaming at 1080p with older titles, it could still work for you. Just make sure your power supply can handle it!
$110 for a card that's so old is a bit wild to me. Honestly, I wouldn't trust it, especially if it ran in his PC for years. You'd be better off looking at the used market for something more current. Otherwise, just wait and save a little more!
Yeah, I wouldn't spend that much on it either. It's basically on its way out, and you'll need a replacement sooner than later.
I'd say it's the best card you’ll find for $110 right now. Just remember, it's going to lose driver support soon, so unless you have a specific use, like collecting or retro gaming, consider saving up for something newer.
Agreed! The 10-series cards are really starting to show their age. You might find better longevity in a lower-end RTX card.

Yeah, exactly! Just be cautious about future games. If you can save up a bit more, maybe look for an RTX card instead.
