I'm considering buying a CPU from AliExpress but I'm a bit hesitant. Has anyone here had experience purchasing CPUs from there? Any tips or stories to share?

Honestly, I'd avoid it. There are so many counterfeit CPUs on AliExpress. It's better to save up and buy from a reputable seller. The risk just isn't worth the few bucks you might save.

I've bought two CPUs from there, a 4000 series APU and a 5700x. They both arrived in perfect condition and seem authentic based on performance. Just make sure the seller has an authenticity guarantee listed clearly at the top of the page. That's key! Also, if you're on Ozbargain, check out user 'Clear' for some good Ryzen deals.

I got a 9600x from AliExpress and it worked fine for me! Just be careful and check seller ratings.

Do you remember which seller you bought it from?

I feel like AliExpress might not be worth it anymore, especially in the UK. The prices often aren't much cheaper than eBay, and with eBay, you avoid the hassle of international returns. If you're after ES/QS CPUs, though, then Ali might still be your best option. I've had no issues buying older gen Ryzen CPUs from there.
