Hi everyone! I've got this few-year-old PC that suddenly stopped booting into Windows and would only go to the BIOS. We left it aside for a while, but I managed to install Linux on it at one point, though it was pretty slow because it ran entirely from a USB. After wiping the drive to try Windows again, it wouldn't recognize either the USB or the new SSD I installed. I've tried using bootable USBs for multiple Linux distros and also Windows, but I keep running into different problems. Just recently, I encountered a bunch of errors like 'Failed to open LEF/bootimmx64.efi - Not Found' and 'Something has gone seriously wrong: import_mok_state() failed: Not Found.' I've searched forums for answers, but many solutions are too technical for me. I've even disabled secure boot in BIOS and tried various USB flashing programs. Sometimes it doesn't even recognize there's a bootable device. I'm not super tech-savvy but want to figure this out myself instead of paying for repairs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First, try testing the USB drive on another computer to see if it actually works there. If it doesn't, the USB might be faulty. If it works fine, the issue might be with your PC hardware or settings. I've encountered similar problems where the SSD was acting up, so that could be a possibility too.
I see you've tried several USB sticks. Could it maybe be the SSD that's causing issues?
