I'm helping a friend upgrade from his old GTX 1060, and since it's been a while since I've tracked budget GPUs, I could use your advice! We're considering the 5060 Ti or the RX 7700 XT since he's a bit hesitant about buying used GPUs. However, I think it might be worth checking out options on FB Marketplace or eBay for the best deals. Ultimately, we want the best performance for the money. He mostly games at 1080p now and has an Intel i7-12700K, but I plan to help him upgrade to 1440p soon. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I suggest the RX 9060 XT 16GB. It's powerful enough for both 1080p and 1440p gaming, plus it supports the new FSR 4 tech. Should be a great pick!
If you can find the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the 5060 Ti 16GB, I'd go with the 5060 Ti if they're within $50 of each other. If not, the 9060 XT is solid.
Isn't the RX 9060 a bit older though? I thought it might not be the most cost-effective option.
