What’s the Best Tool for Freelancers to Collect Client Testimonials?

I'm a freelance web developer looking to gather testimonials from my clients for my portfolio. Since I do remote work and move frequently, I can't use Google Business for reviews. I've come across platforms like G2 and TrustPilot, but they seem more tailored to larger companies. I'm curious about what tools or websites other freelancers use to collect verified testimonials that I can showcase to potential clients. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I keep it simple! I just ask my clients to email me their reviews and give permission to use their full names. It’s way more believable than just initials like "Tim P."

Absolutely, I’ve been doing the same for years! And if possible, I link those testimonials to portfolio sites where clients can verify.

But do those personal testimonials really hold up? If the client isn’t well-known, will it still help with credibility? I prefer verified platforms to avoid sketchy, placeholder testimonials.
