I'm considering upgrading my GPU from a 3070 to a 5070 Ti. I've been using the 3070 for about five years now, and I feel like it's starting to struggle, especially with games like World of Warcraft, Cyberpunk, and Battlefield 6. My setup includes a 5700x3d CPU, 32GB of RAM, and I'm running two ultrawide monitors at 3440x1440. I know WoW is more CPU-bound, but since I also do a lot of streaming and recording that relies heavily on the GPU, I'm feeling the pressure. Additionally, my 3070 has been running louder lately, which makes me think it might be time to replace the thermal paste. The 5070 Ti seems like a solid investment for the next five years, with a price range around $750-$900. I want to upgrade in time for BF6 and WoW's future updates. Do you think my 5700x3d CPU will hold back the 5070 Ti's full performance? I would prefer not to rebuild my whole system and jump to AM5 just yet. Any advice?

Upgrading to the 5070 Ti will definitely make a noticeable difference, especially in games like BF6 and Cyberpunk! You're likely to enjoy much better performance overall.
You can use either CPU or GPU for video encoding. While CPU encoding can offer slightly higher quality, GPU encoding is usually better for performance since your GPU is built for it. The 5070 Ti is a solid choice, and your 5700x3d should handle it fine at 3440x1440 resolution!
I made a similar upgrade from the 3070 to the 5070 Ti, and I don't regret it at all! I went all out and built a new rig with a 9800x3d and dual 4K monitors, and I'm running WoW on max settings with no issues.
That's awesome to hear! I've been looking for benchmarks on the 5070 Ti with WoW, but most videos only show basic gameplay. I want to see how it performs in raids.
