My Laptop Won’t Start After Upgrading RAM—What Should I Do?

I recently attempted to upgrade the RAM on my ASUS Vivobook 14X by adding an extra stick I had lying around. Unfortunately, after the installation, my laptop won't boot—although the power light is on, the charging indicator keeps flashing. I initially thought the RAM stick might be faulty, so I purchased a new one, but the same issue persists. I've searched everywhere for a solution, but I've come up empty. Any advice?

How much total RAM are you trying to achieve with the new stick? Your laptop can only support up to 16 GB. If you’re within that limit, make sure both RAM sticks have matching specifications. They don’t have to be the same brand, but it’s usually smoother if they are.

This laptop currently has 8GB of 3200MHz memory, and the additional stick I’m trying to use has the same spec.
