Is Using an Unofficial Launcher for Minecraft Bedrock on Steam Deck Legal?

Hey everyone, I have a question that's been making me a bit anxious. I was following a tutorial for getting Minecraft Bedrock Edition on my Steam Deck, which I understand runs on Linux. I'm curious about the legality of using an unofficial launcher for this. The launcher does require that you own Minecraft already, so it feels okay, but I want to be sure. Is it legal to do this, or could there be any issues?

Yeah, it's totally legal! The launcher actually downloads the game from the Play Store, so you definitely need to have purchased it. Plus, if there was any real issue, you know the modding community wouldn't be flourishing the way it is!

Official launchers aren't illegal, though they might go against Minecraft’s EULA. This means they could ban your account if they find you using them, but actual legal repercussions are pretty unlikely. Just do a bit of reading if you’re still uneasy!

I really don't see how it could be illegal. If the launcher makes sure you're a legitimate Minecraft owner, that's a good sign! It's pretty much like running an Android emulator, right? So you should be fine.
