I'm currently using an 8-lane GPU paired with a Ryzen 8000 series CPU (the 8700F), and I'm considering upgrading to a 16-lane GPU. I want to know if I will encounter any issues after I make this upgrade. The motherboard manual states: "AMD Ryzen™ 9000/7000 Series Processors support PCIe 4.0 x16 mode. AMD Ryzen™ 8000 Series-Phoenix 1 Processors support PCIe 4.0 x8 mode. AMD Ryzen™ 8000 Series-Phoenix 2 Processors support PCIe 4.0 x4 mode. The PCIEX16 slot can only support a graphics card or an NVMe SSD. If only one graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot." Can anyone clarify if this upgrade will let me use my new GPU at full capacity?

You're right to check the compatibility! With the Ryzen 8000 series, you're limited to 8 PCIe lanes for the GPU. So, you'll be able to use your new 16-lane GPU, but only at 8 lanes. Generally, the performance drop isn't significant for most tasks, though it could depend on the specific GPU. I wouldn't stress too much about it!
That seems a bit odd since the 8700F doesn't actually have integrated graphics. How does that work?
