Is the 5070 Ti Worth the Extra $150 Over the 9070 XT?

I'm considering whether to spend $1,000 on the 5070 Ti or go with the cheaper 9070 XT for $850. I've noticed that their benchmark performances are almost identical, with the 5070 Ti sometimes performing slightly better. Given the price difference, is it worth it to spend the extra $150 on the 5070 Ti?

If your main focus is not just gaming, the 5070 Ti might be the way to go. Nvidia cards generally offer better performance for a variety of tasks beyond gaming, like video editing and streamlining processes for things like AI tasks. AMD is great for gaming, but if you need versatility, Nvidia can shine here too.

That's a strong point! Nvidia cards often include features like DLSS, which can help boost performance in games while not compromising quality.

Honestly, I'd lean towards the 9070 XT unless you have a brand preference. Nvidia's drivers have faced some criticism lately, so that's worth considering before you decide.

I just got my 5070 Ti and honestly, I'm having some trouble with it. I've seen lots of crashes in various games due to driver issues. It's a bit frustrating since you'd expect better from a major company after four months since launch. Maybe consider the 9070 XT instead.

I actually have the opposite experience so far! No major issues for me, aside from a temperature spike that was fixed with a hotfix. Coming from a 3070, it's been running great!

The 9070 XT has historically been priced better, so it might be worth saving that $150. Just make sure to check benchmarks for the games you play to see which GPU is best for your needs.

If you don’t really need specific features from Nvidia like ray tracing or CUDA cores, I’d say just go for the 9070 XT. It could give you better value for gaming without relying on those extra features.
