What do you think of my first PC build?

Hey everyone! I'm finally ready to build my dream gaming PC after years of using laptops. I've been learning from a lot of videos and even got some help from ChatGPT to put together my components. My main goal is to have a setup that works well for both gaming and browsing for work, ideally lasting about 4-5 years. I like to play high-end games like Cyberpunk and RDD2, and I'm also thinking about experimenting with local AI models down the line. One thing I definitely want is a quiet setup—no flashy RGB lights, so I'm going with Noctua fans. Here's what I have planned for my build:
- Case: Fractal North XL (black) with 2 Noctua fans to keep it quiet.
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 Gaming X or Aorus Elite WiFi7
- RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30
- Storage: 2TB 990 PRO (with plans to add more later)
- Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax
- PSU: Corsair RM1000x SHIFT (ATX 3.1)
- GPU: RTX 5080 16GB
- Monitor: BENQ Mobiuz EX321UX (I prefer Mini LED over OLED). I'd love to hear your thoughts on my build!

Honestly, I think the X870 motherboard is overkill for your needs. A B850 board might do just as well and save you some cash. Plus, the RTX 5080 isn’t really worth it; it’s only slightly better than the 5070 Ti but at a significantly higher price. If you're looking for value, I'd suggest going for the 5070 Ti instead!

That’s a good catch! I just checked out the 5070 Ti and it seems like it could be overclocked to match the 5080's performance for a much lower price. Definitely leaning towards swapping the mobo too!
