Upgrading My GPU—Need Advice on Compatibility

I'm finally upgrading my GPU after sticking with my old 1050ti for about 7 years! I'm considering the Acer B580 12GB ARC because I've heard good things about it for my budget of under £250. However, I've come across some mentions of compatibility issues with it. Since I'm not super tech-savvy, I want to know whether this card will work with my current setup or if I should look for something else instead. Here are my specs: Intel i5 8600K 3.6GHz, 16 GB Corsair RAM, Aorus Z370 Motherboard, GTX 1050ti 4GB. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The Arc B580 is a solid choice for the price, but just a heads up—your older CPU might not do it full justice. The B580 only has 8 lanes connected to your CPU, which can slow things down. If you can swing it, consider the RX 9060xt, it's one of the more affordable options with 16 lanes, making it a better fit for your CPU. If you're not ready to swap out your motherboard and CPU, a second-hand 3060 12GB could also be a great option!

Yeah, the lane issue is crucial! The 9060xt will let you take full advantage of the performance. Just think about your future upgrades too—it could save you some hassle later!
