Upgrading My SSD: Fresh Install or Clone?

I'm planning to upgrade my SSD from a Crucial P3 Plus Gen 4 with speeds of 5000 MB/s to a Corsair MP700 Elite that boasts 10000 MB/s. I'm considering a few options for the upgrade: Should I do a fresh install of Windows, clone my existing SSD over to the new one, or just keep both SSDs in my setup? Are there any potential issues if I simply clone the drive or if I decide to keep both?

Honestly, all three options are valid! I’d personally recommend cloning your old drive and then wiping it clean afterward. That way, you get to keep all your files and settings intact on the new, faster SSD.

It really depends on what you do with your computer. If you don’t do anything that demands the extra speed, like heavy video editing or gaming, keeping both SSDs might work best. You could use the new one as a secondary drive without any issues.

I don't do a lot of intensive work, so it sounds like keeping them both is a solid option. Would there be any advantage to making the faster drive my main drive?
