Hey everyone! I'm a software developer looking to dive into Docker and the DevOps world. My question is about networking: how much do I really need to know before I get started? Should I be studying TCP or UDP in-depth? What networking topics should I focus on to build a solid foundation? Also, if you could recommend any useful courses or books, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

When I was a junior in DevOps, taking a free CCNA course helped me out a lot. It gave me the foundational networking knowledge I needed. Even though it's vendor-specific, understanding the basics is super beneficial. Each cloud provider has its own way of handling network security, but the concepts are similar, just with different terms. Definitely a good starting point!
That's great advice! Just to piggyback on that, what CCNA exam did you take? Also, do you have any specific book or course recommendations? I'm looking for resources myself!
You don’t need a ton of networking knowledge to get started! Just knowing what ports are is really all you need in the beginning. Once you start working with Docker, you'll pick up more as you go along.
