I currently have an R5 8500G and I'm playing mostly shooters and some light AAA games using the integrated graphics. I'm planning to get a 9060XT 16GB around Christmas, but I'm considering picking up a used GTX 980 with 4GB for about 70 euros in the meantime. Do you think it's worth the investment to improve my gaming experience until I get the new card?

Generally, it's not ideal to buy older GPUs for just a minor upgrade. It's better to aim for at least an 8GB card nowadays. However, since your iGPU is pretty weak, getting a 980 4GB could provide a noticeable improvement. Just keep in mind that saving for a better card is definitely a good move in the long run. The 9060XT 16GB is a great choice, especially given its value right now!

Yeah, but I'm thinking spending 70-80 bucks on the 980 for six months could be worth it. Right now, I can barely get decent FPS on most games, and anything I can play is on mid settings at 30 FPS. Just wanted to see if others felt similarly!
