Is the Corsair RM1000e Power Supply a Good Deal at This Price?

I recently came across the Corsair RM1000e (2023) 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply, listed for about £140 (roughly $185). This seems pretty cheap compared to other power supplies I've seen; many 750W or 850W models are priced similarly. Is there something I should be aware of that makes this one less desirable? I'm thinking of using it for my £1500 PC build, but I want to make sure I'm making the right choice.

Prices for power supplies can vary quite a bit, and while £140 might seem low for a 1000W unit, it's pretty normal. In fact, some PSU's are priced higher than this, depending on their brand and build quality. You're not missing much here; it’s common for lower wattage units to be almost as pricey as higher ones, especially if they're from reputable brands. So, it's not a deal-breaker or anything!

What do you think a 750W PSU should cost then?
