Hey everyone, I'm having a strange issue when trying to delete my RSV backups. Instead of being completely deleted, they just switch to a soft delete state. When I go to the properties and check the soft delete and security settings, I can't find the option to disable soft delete. This option used to be available, but now it's missing. I've also verified that there are no policies preventing me from seeing this option. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this might be happening?

I appreciate your input, but I don't think it's a new security feature since I checked with other tenants and they still have the option to disable soft delete. Maybe it's just a glitch on your account or a settings change.
It sounds like you might be running into a new security feature. If soft delete is enabled for your vault, it can't be toggled off afterward. This is designed for security, so they want to ensure backups aren’t deleted immediately. You may just have to wait out the timeout for the soft delete to expire.
