I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 4060 Ti to a 5070, and now my Ryzen 7 7700X CPU is constantly running at 100% while playing BO6. Previously, the CPU usage would be under 60% with my old card. Can anyone explain why this is happening? I'm considering upgrading my CPU as a potential solution.

Sounds like your system's just hitting a bottleneck somewhere. With the old 4060 Ti, your CPU had more breathing room. Now that you have a more powerful GPU, it's the CPU that's holding things back. You might want to look into how your monitor's settings affect this too, especially if you're capping your FPS.
When you increase your FPS with a better GPU, your CPU has to work harder to keep up. So, it’s expected that it'll hit higher usage percentages now compared to when you had the 4060 Ti. Just a sign you're getting more performance, really!
If you're playing at 1080p, just know that the GPU doesn't really get taxed that much. A 5070 is more than what you need for that resolution, which is likely causing your CPU to overwork itself. Capping your FPS can help alleviate that burden a bit, or you can consider DLSS if it's supported in your games.
Honestly, congrats! You've swapped a GPU bottleneck for a CPU bottleneck. It's a common trade-off when making such upgrades. You could consider an upgrade for your CPU down the line if you want to balance things out.
Make sure you do a clean install of your GPU drivers after the upgrade. Sometimes leftover files from the previous driver can cause issues. That might help improve performance and CPU usage!
Exactly! I was wondering if my monitor might be the issue, especially since I plan to upgrade to a better one soon.
