I have a question about upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I didn't find a satisfying answer online, so I hope someone here can help. If I choose not to upgrade to Windows 11 before support for Windows 10 ends, will I miss my chance to get the upgrade for free? Is it safe for me to stay on Windows 10 for, say, another year and still be able to upgrade without having to pay? I've heard some complaints about Windows 11, although I've had no issues on my dad's laptop with it. I'd just like to stick with Windows 10 for a bit longer. Thanks in advance for your help!

Honestly, if you’ve had zero problems with Windows 11 before, why hesitate? Just go for the upgrade! There really isn’t any downside since you’ve already tried it out.
I think Microsoft support would be the best bet for a definitive answer. My guess is the upgrade will still be free, but that’s just speculation.
There’s no deadline for the free upgrade to Windows 11 at this moment. In the past, like with Windows 7, there were deadlines, but this time you can still upgrade for free even if some time passes after support for Windows 10 ends.
Currently, there’s absolutely no cutoff date for upgrading. You should have made that move ages ago, but who’s counting, right? Newer features, better security—those are usually the main perks of keeping your OS updated!
