Should I Upgrade My Motherboard or Expand Storage Instead?

I bought a prebuilt PC about a year ago with a decent setup including an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G processor, a RAMSTA B450MP motherboard, and integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics. Since then, I've upgraded my RAM to 32GB Gskill Trident Neo, replaced the PSU with a Corsair C750W, and added an RX 9060 XT GPU. Now I'm at a crossroads: should I swap out my motherboard for something better, or is it smarter to just expand my storage? What do you all think?

The B450 motherboard still has some usefulness left, as it supports PCIe 4.0. It all depends on what you need it to do.

Got it! Since it’s not causing any issues right now, I think I will stick with the motherboard and just focus on expanding my storage instead. Thanks!

If your motherboard is running well and you're not facing any issues, there's really no need to replace it.

Not experiencing any bottlenecks either, so maybe expanding storage sounds like a better plan.

What are you hoping to achieve by changing the motherboard? If you're into tinkering, consider building your own PC. It allows you to pick each component based on your needs without the limitations of a prebuilt system.

I've actually started learning about building PCs! After getting feedback about my current setup, I upgraded parts myself. I’m really enjoying the process and just thinking about my next step now.
